About Yilan
Yilan is surrounded by mountains facing the Pacific Ocean, it is located in the northeast of Taiwan. With an average temperature of 22 degrees Celsius, Yilan is definitely one of the places to visit for your Taiwan Travel. Since the world’s 5th longest tunnel (12.9kms), Hsueh-shan Tunnel opened in 2007, travel time from Taipei to Yilan has shortened from four hours to one and a half hours, this also attracts more and more tourists from Taipei City. With reduced driving time, travelers may have extra time to visit more attractions including Cilan Forest Recreation Area, Cueifong Lake, Dongshan River Water Park, Jiaosi Hot Spring, and Luodong Night Market. One worth mentioning is the Suao Cold Spring, which is a rare phenomenon that only remains in two places in the world which are Taiwan’s Yilan and Italy. So make sure you don’t miss out on what Yilan has to offer for your ultimate Yilan Travel!
