Formerly known as Lu Lan Port or Jia Lan Port, Fugang Port is where visitors may join whale-watching tours and transfer to Taiwan’s outlying islands, Lanyu and Green Island. Established in 1993, Fugang Port is one of the most important seafood-trading centers in eastern Taiwan.

Fugang Port occupies an area of 3.6 hectares. The port is comprised of a 593 meter-long embankment, a docking area, a fish market, and a number of gas stations. It was first used as a fishing port but later transformed into a multifunctional port as well as a tourist site. Along the 593 meter-long embankment, visitors may find a number of souvenir shops selling models of fishes in different styles. Fishes that are found in Fugang Port area are mostly tuna, sharks, tilapia, lobsters, shrimps, and clams. Adjacent to the port, visitors may find a number of seafood restaurants where freshest seafood are served.

Fugang Port is one of the most popular ports in Taiwan where visitors may join whale-watching tours. Whale-watching tour runs 3 times a day starts from 07:00. As a multifunctional port, it is also the place where students would visit on a school field trip to learn the operation of the fishing port and how fishermen make their living.
