The Taipei City Mall, (also known as Taipei Main Underground Shopping Street) is located at the intersection of Daan and Zhongzheng District of Taipei city. Laying parallel underneath Taipei's Civic Boulevard, Taipei City Mall has a total length of 825 meters, 28 exits/entrances with 14 each on north and south sides, sharing those exits/entrances with Taipei Main Station of Taipei Metro, Taiwan Railway Administration, Taipei Train Station and Shin Kong Life Tower. 

This is the first and foremost structured underground boulevard in Taiwan. Featuring over 180 stores, the shopping area is divided into 3 different sections of fashion, electronics, and food. The marketplace opened in 2000 as a replacement for the torn-down Chunghwa market in 1992. Taipei City Mall is a combination of Western market and traditional market place where shoppers are able to find everything from Cuban cigars to handmade toys to imported coffee.
