Bitan Scenic Area

Located nearby Xindian MRT Station in New Taipei City (Taipei County), Bitan Scenic Area is a scenic spot along Xindian River, it is now one of the most popular attractions among all generations. Bitan has always been noted for her fantastic and romantic natural sceneries.

Bitan Scenic Area has various notable sites, grand architectures and fun activities. Being the landmark of Xindian City, the notable historical Bitan Bridge was built in 1937 which connects two diverse riversides and bicycle paths. It was once the main path between Ankeng and Dapinglin. Later, due to years of use, Bitan Bridge was rebuilt in 2000 based on its original figure. Visitors may also enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of Bitan Lake from Bitan Bridge. Another logo of Bitan Scenic Area is the huge craggy cliff on the west shore that has the name of “Mini Chibi (mini Red Cliff)”, with two power Chinese words “Bitan” carved since 1948.

Visitors may also enjoy a romantic feast at the restaurants and coffee shops on the eastern bank of Bitan. Each restaurant and coffee shops provides distinctive delicacies, such as local dishes, Italian, Japanese, as well as grilled seafood. Enjoy delicious dishes at comfortable seats and being involved in nature from day to night. Other than enjoying delicacies along Bitan banks, visitors are recommended to have a closer touch of the lake by cute swan boats. In addition, enjoy a windy bike ride at Xindian, Dahan River bike trail will ensure great enjoyments of your Taiwan travel.

    1. National number 1 highway(國道一號), exit Yuanshan offramp(圓山交流道), connect to Jianguo Elevated highway(建國高架道路) towards Xinhai Rd(辛亥路), along Jilong Elevated highway(基隆路高架道) to Huanhe express way(環河快速道路) to reach.

    2. National number 3 highway(國道三號), exit Sindian offramp(新店交流道), connect to Zhongxin Rd(中興路), along Bitan Rd(碧潭路) to reach.

    By Bus :
    1. From Taipei, take bus route 642, 643, 648, 650, 905, 909, Brown 7(棕7), Green 1(綠1), Green 13(綠13) to reach directly.

    By MRT :
    1. Take Sindian line(捷運新店線) and exit Sindian station(新店站) to reach.
