Taichung Metropolitan Opera House
Address: the intersection of Hweilai Rd. and Sicheng N. Rd.
The opera house under construction is in the concept of “nice voice culvert”, and is designed by a famous Japanese architect, Toyo Ito. Clipper-built exterior and modern materials create a smooth visual feel, just like the sounds would flow through the halls and the building inside and out. Taichung Metropolitan Opera House will have a large theater (Grand Theater) with 2009 seats, a medium theater (Playhouse) with 800 seats, and an experiment theater (Black Box) with 200 seats. Other facilities as workshop for art and culture, art market, public space, and parking lots. It is the venue with international standard performance space, and to promote the activities of art and culture in central Taiwan areas like Taichung, Changhua, and Chiayi. National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts

National Taiwan Museum of Fine Art is located in Taichung Park No.65. The famous parkway starts from here and stretch to National Museum of Natural Science. The architecture of the museum combines modern and unique style, and the masterpieces of sculptures are on the sidewalk. 24 exhibitions hold art craft regularly and collect pieces of late artists includes Taiwanese and contemporary artists.
