Kaohusing Sinsing Night Market
Clustering shops and vendors from food to clothes, Sinsing Night Market covers Datung road and Nanhua road. It is a traditional market in the day, as known as Nanhua Market, or Nanhua shopping center. There are various shops and all kinds of cheap and fine goods for women, such as accessories, shoes and clothes. The most famous cuisine in Sinsing Night Market is Lee's spareribs soup which runs business for over thirty years. The Lee's only sell spareribs soup and flavored sticky rice, both are traditional Taiwanese cuisines. The soup is stewed with white gourds and fried spareribs, add the unique taste by drizzling some chopped coriander leaves and ground black pepper before served. Steamed Taiwanese meatball in Southern Taiwan is different with Northern style. The meatballs’ sizes are bigger in Southern Taiwan, and the meatballs are being deep-fried before steamed. Kaohusing Liouhe Night Market
Liouhe Night Market is one of the most famous night markets and a noted tourism spot in Taiwan. It occupied Zhongshan road to Zili road, Kaohsiung City, which is not far from Kaohsiung Railway Station. Monjiayaki (もんじゃ焼き
) is a kind of Japanese pan-fried batter with a variety of ingredients. Similar to okonomiyaki (Japanese-style pancake), monjayaki is with slight difference since it is made with more liquid batter than okonomiyaki.
The ingredients are finely chopped and mixed into the batter before frying.
