Hualien Ocean Park

Situated in Hualien County, the Hualien Ocean Park is only 10 kilometers away from Hualien City. The park is Hualien's biggest man-made tourist attraction, and Taiwan’s first theme park focusing on marine ecology. Hualien Ocean Park features eight zones that introduce different aspects of ocean and marine life. From thrilling water rides, bumper boats, dolphin shows to roller coasters, everyone can have fun in this amusement park. Moreover, visitors will be astonished by dolphin and seal’s amazing acrobatic abilities in the marina shows.

The main amusement zone includes the Brighton by the Sea, Crystal Castle, Discovery Island, Dolphin Lagoon, Harbour Square, Main Street, Mariner's Cove, and Underwater Kingdom. The cable car service is available so it is very convenient for elders and children. With all the fun facilities and shows, it is worth coming for many times.

The open hour for the amusement park is from 9AM to 5PM on weekday, and 8:30PM to 5PM on weekend. The fare is TW$890 per adult, and TW$790 for people under 18 years old.

--Beneficiary Group Ticket :NT$620 per person

NOTE : Group tickets only allow 20 people per group, and needs to make a booking one day prior to the visit.

--Mechanical Amusement Facilities' Opening Hours : 15 minutes after opening of Ocean Park, and ends 30 minutes before the Park closes.
--Mechanical amusement facilities and any performances may be postponed due to technical repairs or other inevitable problems. This is only notified by the main venue, not by us.
-- The Ocean Park is temporarily running without any evening operations.
--The tickets are available for the whole day's visit, however certain activities or shows may require more fees.
--The facilities are safe and secure, however people under 90cm of height and disabled persons please do not take any rides before making sure of the restrictions provided at the venue.
--When the number of visitors reach a certain limit, the Park forbids anymore entries, please excuse this inconvenience.

By Own Car :
The Ocean Park is 10 kilometres east of Hualien City.

By Public Commute :
--Train : From Taipei : take the tourist train and arrive straight at Hualien New Station ; around 3 and a half hours.
From Kaoshiung : via Nanhuei Railway and go up north from the Eastern Line.
--Plane : From Taipei : via Fareast or Fuxing Airline, takes around 35 minutes.
From Taichung : via Huaxing Airline, takes about 1 hour.
From Kaoshiung : via Fareast or Huaxing Airline, takes about 50minutes.
--Bus : take Dayiou Coach and get off at Hualien City, then transfer to Hualien Coach head towards Taidong and Fongbin directions.
