Yangmingshan Flower Festival brings together large numbers of visitors each year for the mesmerizing flower sceneries. Seven additional bus routes have been appointed to solve the heavy traffics during the 2013 Yangmingshan Flower Festival, from 2013/02/12-2013/03/10.

The following is the list of the additional buses to the 2013 Yangmingshan Flower Festival.
Available on weekends:
Bus no. 126 (Taipei Main Station – Yangmingshan Car Park No. 2)
Bus no. 127 (MRT Jiantan Station – Yangmingshan Car Park No. 2)
Bus no. 128 (MRT Shipai Station – Flower Clock of Yangmingshan National Park – Yangmingshan Car Park No. 2)
Bus no. 129 (MRT Beitou Station - Flower Clock of Yangmingshan National Park – Yangmingshan Car Park No. 2)

Available daily:
Bus no. 130 (Yangmingshan No. 2 Car Park - Flower Clock of Yangmingshan National Park – Yangming Book House)
Bus no. 130 (Flower Clock of Yangmingshan National Park – Bus. No. 260 Terminus)
Bus no. 131 (Yangmingshan No. 2 Car Park - Flower Clock of Yangmingshan National Park – Yangming Book House)

Yangmingshan National Park is nicely located just about 40 minutes away from central Taipei City. Appreciate beautiful flowers, revitalize through hot spring baths, as well as sample fresh mountain delicacies. The 2 following routes are provided for you to plan a 2-day-1-night tour discovering the splendors of Yangmingshan and nearby Taipei attractions.

Route 1:
Yangmingshan Zhongshan Hall ->Yangmingshan for flowers -> Yangmingshan Hot Spring hotel -> National Palace Museum -> Chiang Kai-Shek Shilin Residence -> Shilin Night Market

Transportation:
From Taipei to Yangmingshan National Park:
Take Taipei MRT Danshui Red Line to MRT Jiantan Station. From there take bus no. Red 5 to Yangmingshan National Park.

From Yangmingshan to National Palace Museum:
1. Take bus no. 681 to National Palace Museum.
2. Take bus no. 1717 and then transfer bus no. Red 30 to National Palace Museum.

From National Palace Museum to Chiang Kai-Shek Shilin Residence:
Take bus no. 1801 or minibus no. 19 to Chiang Kai-Shek Shilin Residence.

From Chiang Kai-Shek Shilin Residence to Shilin Night Market:
Take minibus no. 18 or 19 to Shilin Night Market.

Route 2:
Yangmingshan for flowers ->Yangmingshan Hot Spring -> Chiang Kai-Shek Shilin Residence -> Shilin Night Market -> Taipei hotel nearby Shilin Night Market or Beitou Hot Spring -> Beitou Hot Spring Museum

From Taipei to Yangmingshan National Park:
Take Taipei MRT Danshui Red Line to MRT Jiantan Station. From there take bus no. Red 5 to Yangmingshan National Park.

From Yangmingshan to Chiang Kai-Shek Shilin Residence:
Take bus no. 1717 or 681 to Chiang Kai-Shek Shilin Residence.

From Chiang Kai-Shek Shilin Residence to Shilin Night Market:
Take minibus no. 18 or 19 to Shilin Night Market.

From Shilin Night Market to Beitou Hot Spring area:
Take Taipei MRT Danshui Red Line from MRT Jiantan Station to MRT Xinbeitou Station.

Event: Sanzih Cherry Blossom Festival
Location: Sanzih Tourist Information Center
Sanzih is one of the most popular cherry blossom viewing destinations in New Taipei City, including Sanzih Danjin Road and areas nearby Sanzih Tourist Information Center.

By Bus:
Take Danshui Bus:860, 861, 862 & 863 bound for Sanzih, Shimen & Keelung from the opposite side of MRT Danshui Station and get off at Sanzih Junior High School -> walk along Zhongzhen Road -> turn left to Dexien Road -> Sanzih Tourist Information Center (It takes about a 20 minute walk from Sanzih Junior High School)

Driving directions:
Danshui Dadu Road -> Danjin Road (Taiwan Provincial Highway No.2) -> Dahu Road -> Chingshan Road ->Dexien Road -> Sanzih Tourist Information Center

Car park:
Available next to Sanzih District Office
Available at Dexien Road when turn from Zhongzhen Road

Event: Danshui Cherry Blossom Festival

Danshui Tianyuan Temple

Among New Taipei City cherry blossom viewing spots, Danshui Tianyuan Temple is probably one of the most noted one among locals. This year, due to weather condition, cherry blossoms may be seen around mid-March at Tianyuan Temple.

Free shuttle service to Tianyuan Temple:
3/17(SAT) & 3/18(SUN) 08:00-13:00 (bus runs every 40 minutes)
MRT Hongshulin Station <-> Tianyuan Temple (last bus back to MRT Hongshulin Station: 15:30)

By bus:
Take bus no. 875, 866, 876 or 877 to Tianyuan Temple from MRT Danshui Station.
