The 12th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) will be held September 8 -11, 2008, in the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Centre. CIFIT is a very large investment promotion trade show in China hoping to attract foreign investment. The trade show will have an even more extensive scale this year due to the Olympics. It is planned to be host over 65,000 square meters of presentation, consisting of 3 major divisions: investment, trades, and tourism.

CIFIT is held annually in Xiamen, Fujian, China. It invites a wide variety of international investors, traders, intermediate agencies, and financial institutions. As for now, it is the largest event for multilateral investment promotion in Asia with investment projects and products from many countries.

From 1987 through 1996, CIFIT was first the Fujian Fair for International Investment & Trade (FFIIT) for ten years. Then, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (Moftec) of China saw the opportunity to expand this trade show to include marketing the rest of China for foreign direct investment. Consequently the FFIIT officially became CIFIT in January 1997. CIFIT has steadily grown in the numbers of visitors.
