As the very popular “Yilan International Children’s Folklore & Folkgame Festival” had been suspended after 12 years’ memory full of fun and pulsation last year, the 1st annual “Yilan International Rain Festival” is going to take place as the biggest event of Yilan, also one of the most featured local festivals in Taiwan.

The Yilan government always makes effort on promoting the culture and beauty of Yilan. In order to provide an event not only serving those main purposes but also being active and entertaining, they open online election of theme headline to people, as the eager attendance of net pal, expectably, a new grand event is going to form up.

The area of 2008 Yilan International Rain Festival is divided into three themes, each one has appeared to very difference.

Wulaoken River Valley – Adventure Valley
A place for the passion of adventure, Wulaoken River Valley serves the concept of origin and virgin. Featured Yilan art and culture combined with original natural scenery, spectacularly designed a series of adventure activities for visitors to experience the beauty and charm of Rain.

Dongshan River Water Park – Fantastic Park
The Fantastic Park is a scheme park of five elements, Light, Water, Sound, Flame, Human. It strongly focuses on the motion and elegance of River. The appearance of quiet and alluring Dongshan River is always the Yilan’s Fantastic Park.

Suao - Ocean Culture Zone
Along the shore to the Suao, a nautical village, here provides so many water activities and extremely sport field such as parachute, surfing, swimming area, whale preservation cruise, sank sculpture, authentic cuisine and souvenir, etc.. The most sporty Zone aims at satisfying your sports gene.
