2013 Nantou Lavender Festival

Located in Yichi Town of Nantou County, Taiwan, Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village is one of the biggest flower viewing venues in Nantou. During February, the cherry blossom season, you may see the pink and white blossoms are in full profusion in the park; furthermore, a vision of rolling purple field by the blooms of the lavenders is the prominent feature of the bloom season. Moreover, there is an extra special this year. Due to the warm weather lately, the lavender season has come earlier than expected. Visitors may appreciate purple lavenders of all kinds join pink and white cherry blossoms in a divine combination, turning the park into a fantasy world. The major venue of lavenders is in European Palace Garden which features a palace, fountains, a bell tower, greenish lawn, and colorful flower carpets, makes you feel like you are in some village in Europe.

Around March every year, more than 100,000 lavenders decorated Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village in picturesque sceneries, leading visitors into a world of romance. There will also be concerts and performances during weekends of lavender festival for visitors to indulge in a world of charming ambience. Nantou Lavender Festival is one of the most popular events in Nantou County besides Cherry Blossom Festival, Sun Moon Lake International Swimming Carnival and Nantou Train Festival.
